I am so excited to unbox my year-in-review album! I love digital photography for so many reasons. The ease of sharing and storing your precious memories is unmatched. However, there is nothing like seeing those same memories printed on the page. The whole process of making the album is a trip down memory lane and worth the little bit of extra time and energy it takes to choose the photos you want to showcase. There are so many amazing companies to use for this service, but I have found the quality and ease of Mpix.com to be my favorite. The premium paper is unbeatable and the images print like you see them on your screen. I love the linen cover that is sleek and minimal. However, their custom covers are easy to add. I also love that they do not include their company logo anywhere on the book. It’s completely yours.
What’s this going to cost me?
I chose the 10X10 premium hardcover album with a base price of $49.99. It includes 20 pages with up to 9 photos per page. OR you can do a 2 page spread. The pages lay flat so no nasty crease in the middle of a photo! There are so many ways to customize your memories. And did I mention that there’s free shipping on all orders over $35!
How long will this take me?
This can be a big hindrance when it comes to putting together a photo memory book. I get it. The hardest part for me is choosing the photos. For this, I go with my gut. I look at the photos and pick all the ones that immediately make me smile. Because of the people, places, or story behind the photo. I know I can have at least 180 photos (you can always add pages to your album) so I can start with anything that makes me smile. Then I get to arrange them. I typically go in chronological order of the day or event. However, sometimes I just put my favorites first. There is no right or wrong to the order. Start to finish, it takes about 6 hours for me to make an album. But I do this over the course of a few days or a week. Mpix saves my work so I can work a little and come back to it. Win! Win!
How long did it take to receive it?
From the time I hit the add to cart button, it takes about 5 days to receive the album. Sometimes sooner! I ordered this album on a Friday and received it on Tuesday! Mpix has a crazy fast turnaround time, and did I mention the great quality!
Out of the many albums I’ve made throughout the years, this is my favorite. If you are on the fence about printing an album of your precious memories, let me encourage you to make the book! It is worth every penny!
